8th Grader, Indira’s Clothing Drive for Lyric’s Loft

At Lyric’s Loft, we believe in the power of youth leadership and today, we’re celebrating one remarkable young changemaker who turned inspiration into real-world impact.

A huge shoutout to Indira, an 8th grade member of the LNC Builders Club, who hosted an outstanding clothing drive in Huntersville, NC. Thanks to her efforts and the generosity of her community, she collected over 40 bags of clothing to support children with autism and families in need.

The story began after I visited the LNC Builders Club to speak about autism awareness and the mission of Lyric’s Loft. Just one week later, I received a text from Indira; she was inspired and ready to take action. We immediately began planning, and her commitment never wavered.

Indira went to Harris Teeter, used Lyric’s Loft ENI number, and picked up 80 empty grocery bags. She then spent hours walking her neighborhood, personally delivering the bags door to door and asking for donations. Her initiative, work ethic, and passion were beyond impressive.

With support and guidance from Andrea Wofford, our amazing President of NC Donations, Indira’s drive came together beautifully. Andrea even sat down with her to hear what sparked her passion, how she managed logistics, and what giving back means to her. It was an inspiring reminder of how powerful young voices can be when they’re given the tools and trust to lead.

Indira, your kindness is changing lives, and we couldn't be more grateful. And Andrea, thank you for being the guiding light behind so many of our donation efforts. Your mentorship and heart are a driving force behind the impact we make.
