At Lyric’s Loft, we love celebrating individuals who lead with heart—and today, we’re proud to highlight someone extra special: Anna, a former Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT) I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside!
Anna is currently pursuing her master’s in Occupational Therapy at East Carolina University, and even as a student, she’s already making waves. Her passion for serving the autism community continues to shine and this April, during Autism Awareness Month, she showed that advocacy starts with action.
Anna rallied her entire cohort to wear blue in support of autism acceptance and awareness. Seeing a sea of future healthcare professionals united in support of neurodiversity was such a powerful moment and it was sparked by Anna’s leadership and heart.
Not only is she a strong advocate, but she’s also a natural leader and a true changemaker. Her willingness to bring awareness into her campus community speaks volumes about the kind of therapist and human she is becoming.
Anna, your dedication to the autism community is deeply inspiring. I’m so proud of you and honored to have worked beside you. Thank you for continuing to raise awareness, educate others, and lead by example. The future of therapy is brighter because of people like you.
Let’s keep the momentum going this Autism Awareness Month and continue celebrating the leaders who are shaping a more inclusive world.
