Wearing Blue and Spreading Appreciation: Siera Celebrates RBTs During Autism Awareness Month 💙

This April, in honor of Autism Awareness Month, Siera Bergeron, founder of Lyric’s Loft, proudly wore blue and took time to recognize a group of unsung heroes in the autism community—Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). With a heart full of gratitude and arms full of treats, Siera personally delivered RBT Appreciation Goodie Bags to local ABA clinics in Chandler, Arizona, including Action Behavior Center and Hopebridge.

Each goodie bag was filled with thoughtful items like mints, autism awareness stickers, hard and soft candy, and fun pixie sticks to bring a little joy to those who give so much. But this was more than just a sweet surprise it was a meaningful reminder that their hard work doesn’t go unnoticed.

Siera knows firsthand what it takes to be an RBT. She spent over two years in the role herself before becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), and even now, she works side-by-side with RBTs every single day. She understands the emotional labor, physical demands, and deep commitment it requires to show up for clients day in and day out. RBTs are the heart of ABA therapy, implementing individualized programs, managing behavior, collecting data, and offering consistent, compassionate care that directly shapes lives.

But the work isn’t easy. Long hours, high emotional investment, and intense responsibilities can take a toll. Burnout is real, and without recognition, resources, and support, it can be hard to sustain such an important role. That’s why Siera believes so deeply in acknowledging and uplifting these professionals because she’s walked in their shoes and continues to witness their impact every single day.
